The watch has a stem-winding movement which carries the brevet, or patent, number 7032. This relates to an 1893 patent for a new watch calibre, with the inventor and applicant listed as Amedee Douard. The movement is working nicely, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover which has some scratching, mainly to the edge.

The watch measures 68mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel with a rose gold edging to the inner edge of the bezel. There is general light surface marking, nothing too detrimental at all.

The thick glass lens is in good condition.

The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. It is signed with the name of the original retailer, Primavesi Bros, Bournemouth, goldsmiths, silversmiths, watch makers, jewellers and leather goods specialists. The family jewellery firm was founded in Poole by the Primavesi brothers in 1851. They moved to Bournemouth in 1870 and the business closed down in 1954. There is a patch of damage on number 7 but other than that, the dial is in lovely condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
