Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The solid top above two drawers, each with unusual brass mask handles it stands on beautifully turned legs joined by side stretchers. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size offering plenty of work space but not too deep. This piece was made originally as a washstand, but makes a wonderful desk.

Solid and sturdy. Good colour. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old filled-in holes, as formerly a washstand.
