Pair of C19th French celadon porcelain Chinese style bronze-mounted lamps .

Smart pair of celadon porcelain vases with incised decoration of C18th period design probably made by Edme Samson et Cie of Paris , France . The patinated bronze mounts by Gagneau of Paris ,and signed beneath the bases .

Raised on cast bronze fret-cut circular bases , the bodies each having bronze stylised dragon mounts , the top of the necks also fitted with cast bronze mounts .

In excellent original condition, can br wired to client’s specification.

NB . The French firm of Edme Samson et Cie of Paris were renowned manufacturers of high quality copies of rare Chinese , Japanese and European ceramics throughout the nineteenth century.

The French lighting manufacturing firm of Gagneau et Cie of Paris , established in 1800 were renowned for their production of high quality and innovative lamp fittings .
