Description

Antique silver trench watch, 1917.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, identified as by the Patria Watch Company, which is working nicely. Patria was one of the names used by Louis Brandt & Fils, founder of Omega.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the later winding crown and fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London 1917. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, the hinged case back has unevenness.

The later acrylic lens has light marks across it but very acceptable.

The dial is in good condition, the luminous detail has been removed at some stage, probably because of the radium content.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
