Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Vanity Fair double-page prints were special large-format chromolithograph supplements published in the weekly British magazine Vanity Fair between 1868 and 1914. Unlike the standard single-page caricatures of individual figures, these fold-out illustrations depicted wider social scenes, equestrian gatherings, court sessions, or political assemblies of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

Late 19th-century lithographs were printed using stone lithography on woven cotton or rag paper using oil-based inks. The original prints were often issued with a central vertical fold line to allow binding within the magazine publication before being framed separately by collectors.

Authentic Vanity Fair prints display original publication text along the top or bottom margin, including issue dates, titles, and printer attributions such as Vincent Brooks, Day & Son. Double-page issues typically feature a distinct vertical center fold and light age-toning consistent with late 19th-century paper stock.

Equestrian and historical prints style well above console tables, sideboards, or arranged in gallery walls within home offices, libraries, and hallways. Pairing them with dark wood furniture, modern neutral paint palettes, and brushed brass fixtures creates a balance between traditional subjects and modern design.

Antique paper prints should be framed using acid-free mounting boards and UV-filtering glass to prevent yellowing, foxing, and ink fading. Display the artwork away from direct sunlight, radiators, and high-humidity areas to preserve paper integrity.
