A very good example of a 17thc pewter ''triple reeded'' charger of impressive size, it is clearly marked with touchmarks of IT within a shield, with two stars above the shield and one star below, a coat of arms below a crown and a passant lion facing right....I have researched the IT and one possibility is John Trout of London, but I think it is more likely the IT on page 380 , illustration 5977 of Cotterell - Old Pewter Marks of an unnamed maker working from 1670-1700 . The charger is in very good condition and would be a great addition to any collection..!
