A petite 'Strawberry Hill' gothic oak Cabinet of dimunitive proportions. The property of a Scholar, and used as a writing desk. The front panels of this wonderful Pre-Raphaelite/Arts and Crafts cabinet comprise of mid Victorian First Edition medieval inspired Paper Mache book bindings – The Record of the Black Prince and The Good Shunamite. Unique, curious, magical and not a little enchanting inspiration for creativity and literature. Subtle eclesiasticall features to base and top sections. Superb.
Condition: Excellent and beautifully aged oak patina, with some minor losses to shelf edges.
