Regency Gilt Pier Mirror

Description

A Regency Gilt Pier Glass.

The mirror with a stepped concave pediment, decorated with a beaded banding, and a lower lambs tongue banding, continued to the turret corners. The frieze with an oval paterae, within a harebell swag, against a 'sand' ground. the frieze flanked by curved brackets, decorated with falling leaves, resting on Corinthian capitals and fluted columns. The slips in beaded and lambs tongue form, holding the bevelled plate.

Height 40 inches, 102cm.

Width 23 3/4 inches, 60cm.

Depth 3 inches, 7.5cm.
