DESCRIPTION: This wonderful carved oak barometer and thermometer which is of massive proportions measuring 35 inches wide making this a very impressive piece. The barometer case has been been carved beautifully to give the most stunning effect of scrollwork, leaves and birds as can be seen from the photographs. The case is superb quality and is approximately 35 inches (89 cm) wide.

The silvered dial to this is beautifully marked with the weather conditions with red lettering at the start of each word and a lovely pattern to the centre of the dial. There is a blued steel finger and brass finger to mark the change in weather. There is also a curved thermometer marked in Fahrenheit to the base of the dial. Also over the dial is a lovely piece of beveled glass in a brass bezel which sets it off beautifully.

DIMENSIONS: The approximate dimensions are : 35 inches (89 cm) wide x 4 3/4 inches (12 cm( deep x 11 inches (28 cm) high

AGE: The barometer is circa 1900.

CONDITION: The dial is in superb antique condition, as is the glass over the barometer. The barometer is in perfect working order and the case in in lovely condition just minor knocks . marks commensurate with age and use as can be seen from the photographs. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
