18thc Thames Valley Ash and Elm Windsor Armchair

Description

Not our normal model of 18thc windsor armchair being situated in the north of england

Thames valley chairs were made in the wycombe area of the valley and were always considered to be more sophisticated than our northern chairs.

This one is made of ash and elm c1800 and is on cabriole legs .

In totally original condition and a nice warm colour and patina

It measures 92cms h 59cms w and 48cms deep.

It has a minor "blacksmith" repair on the corner of the back rail . See close up picture
