A simple, elegant, late Worcester tea bowl and saucer, slightly waisted and spiral fluted. Delicately painted in shades of sepia and brown enamel; a rose spray, another floral spray and a very sweet butterfly have equal billing. Trimmed with gilt rims and small gilt stars in the centre of both pieces. Unmarked, c.1790.
The bowl measures 9cm (3 1/2'') wide and 5.8cm (2 1/4'') high and the saucer is 14.2cm (5 5/8'') wide.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear.
