We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Silver-mounted glass inkwells became widely popular during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as essential writing accessories for hold liquid ink securely while decorating office desks.

Traditional high-grade inkwells combine heavy lead crystal or cut glass bases with hallmarked sterling silver collars, mounts, and hinged lids.

Authentic pieces display official hallmarking stamps on the silver components indicating purity, makers marks, assay office symbols, and date letters, alongside hand-faceted glass work.

A pair of silver inkwells can be arranged symmetrically on an executive office desk, positioned on a console table, or stacked atop books on a library shelf.

Silver components should be gently buffed using a soft polishing cloth suitable for silver, while the glass base can be wiped clean with a slightly damp microfiber cloth.
