Description:
A scarce antique English pewter tavern mug of 3/4 pint capacity, the base bears the mark of Thomas Dean Alderson of London who worked 1796 - 1852. Thomas Dean Alderson is very well known for being the Pewterer to King George IV and for producing the pewter dinner service for the coronation banquet held on 19th July 1821.
There are no verification marks.
Condition:
The mug is in excellent condition with a very lightly polished silver-grey finish with traces of light oxide.
