Victorian Dining Chairs - Fine Walnut - c1850
The set require re-covering which will be a straightforward task due to the unsprung, overstuffed seat design.

The walnut displays beautifully and the choice of the timber elevates the set way beyond the more commonly found mahogany construction.
The chairs benefit from a stylishly designed cross-back bar with detailed hand carving and nicely formed balloon back with flower design.

The turned & fluted front legs are very fine and give the chairs a feeling of lightness. Terminating with a delicate slender lower leg they complement the sabre legs to the rear which are elegantly lightly pinched giving a graceful appearence to the set.

The chairs are solid throughout the set and free of woodworm or any serious defects.
Overall these chairs represent a terrific opportunity to own a stylish matched set of 6 original antique chairs that will serve perfectly and look wonderful for the next 100 years.
