Early Pair of Ladderback Chairs - c1800 - Wigan Shape

These two chairs are in great antique order and a lovely pair. They offer solid seating and great warmth and charm.

The Elm and Fruitwood construction reveals excellent grain. The styling is in the manner of a Wigan area chair.

The turned uprights are unified by triple side stretchers to provide a robust base (see images for the full dimensions). To the rear a single bar header rail rides over a trio of pleasingly fashioned back supports.

Overall an excellent pair of chairs and wonderfully comfortable too.

This pair will make a lovely addition to any setting, both are in good order and ready to give another 200 years of service.
