Aesthetic Period Dining Chairs - For Re-upholstery - c1880
A set of four ebonised mahogany English made dining chairs.
These are in turn united by a half-moon top rail dressed with carving and a detailed capping.

The set are fully sprung so offer very comfortable seating. The fabric covering is partially removed on some of the chairs in preparation for recovering. The set are in good solid order throughout - one chair has had a repair to the top rail which is visable under close inspection.

The turned front legs terminate with a fine taper and contrast with the sabre leg to the rear creating an attractive piece of design which affords a solid base for the chair seat.
The chairs are free of woodworm or any serious defects and when re-covered will make a very special set of chairs.

Overall these chairs represent a terrific opportunity to own a stylish matched set of 4 original antique chairs that will serve perfectly and look wonderful for the next 100 years.
