A Victorian mahogany side table, British c.1870. The rectangular top features a shaped gallery back above two frieze drawers with turned wooden knobs. The table stands on turned and reeded legs terminating in brass and ceramic castors. The polished mahogany displays a rich grain, with finely executed leg turning typical of late 19th-century English cabinetmaking. Well suited for use as a console, desk or occasional table.
