Meissen Rococo Figural Double Salt Cellars, , C.1830

A rare and collectible pair of Meissen porcelain double salt cellars from c.1830, featuring a boy and young woman with flowered baskets, set on gilt rocaille bases. Modeled by Johann Kändler, each bears the crossed swords mark and incised ‘3024’.
 
Dimensions: Boy 14 x 14 x 8.5 cm (346g), Girl 13.3 x 14 x 8.5 cm (412g).
 
Condition: Boy – small paint chip to hat, minor gilt wear; girl – right basket handle restored, minor gilt wear. Otherwise excellent antique condition.
