DESCRIPTION:
This is an exquisite inlaid mahogany long case clock, which is of lovely proportions and is beautifully inlaid. It has an eight-day movement on a broken arch painted face with rolling moon. This is a clock of lovely slim proportions which has the most fantastic mahogany case and is incredibly detailed.
If we start with the hood, this has a lovely shaped pediment and is finished which lovely turned finials. The hood door is nicely shaped which is typical of a Bristol clock and is flanked by full candy twist columns and nice shaped back splats to the rear.
Moving down to the trunk, the door which is beautifully inlaid in fine stringing and above the door is also inlaid with dogtooth inlays. The trunk door is flanked by full candy twist columns. The door contains the most wonderful flame mahogany. The key hole has a lovely shaped brass escutcheon.
The base is is again beautifully inlaid with stringing in a square and with cross banding to the outside and a pretty circle of detailed inlay to the centre. The base is then raised on lovely delicate ogee bracket feet.
The eight-day movement has a broken arch painted face with rolling moon. The dial bears the makers name 'Richd Harford BRISTOL' and is set out with Roman numerals with the four corners are beautifully adorned with scenes depicting the cottages. The moon disc is lovely and in addition to the two moons has a lovely cottage scene and a galleon. The clock has the most very pretty fingers.

CONDITION:
The clock is in lovely condition. The movement is lovely and clean and in perfect working order having recently been professionally cleaned and serviced.
