The mahogany chiffonier incorporates a detachable up-stand / back-stand, decorated with an arched back and central motif, with a shelf below, secured by carved corbels. The base is designed with a working blind frieze drawer; constructed with original mahogany linings. Below are two gothic arched door panels, flanked by half-round Corinthian columns, decorated with fan-shape carvings. The interior comprises several fixed shelves with a large drawer on the right-hand side.
The left-hand door retains its original brass sliding latches, while the right-hand door retains its original working lever lock (with working key). The sideboard sits on its original plinth base and retains its original pine backboards.
The sideboard dismantles into two sections allowing easy access through narrow hallways / doors. This William IV sideboard displays its original lovely rich mahogany colour and patination.
