This chest is in good condition. There are three large drawers to the bottom with each drawer having metal drop handles and key escutcheons, dovetail joints and are pine lined. The top drawer is actually a fold down pull out section where one can store make up supplies etc. This was obviously used as a secretaire in victorian times and still could be used for this purpose. The top is in good condition with a bull nosed edge. There are turned columns to the sides. There is a key that opens the flap and behind the door there are many jewellery drawers etc. There is also a small door in the middle.This is a cracking item of furniture.
