George II Walnut Corner Candle Box Circa 1750

Description

Rare George II solid walnut corner hanging candle box with holly line inlay to door and shaped two shelf superstructure. It has been well used and at sometime a shelf inserted. Lock missing. Still a very rare item; it is the only corner one I have ever seen in over 50 years, Lovely deep honey colour with fine waxed patina. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 22" high overall, 7" back corner to side.
