This unusual and very pretty solid silver trinket box was made by the renowned Henry Matthews and is dated Birmingham 1902. Of rounded rectangular form, the cover decorated with anthemions surrounding vacant oval reserve.. The partially hallmarked hinged cover opening to reveal the original pale gilt interior. The sides and solid silver base plain.
