A Georgian period, late 18th century, painted mahogany elbow chair. This armchair in Chippendale taste, features a pierced back splat, drop-in upholstered seat, covered in a quality woven damask pale blue green fabric. Curved open arms. Square front legs with curved rear legs, supported by a H-stretcher. Finished in pale grey paint, with slight distressing, and wax polished.
A handsome elbow chair, in a good condition, re-upholstered with period appropriate cloth fabric and with a contemporary finish. Very well presented and ready for use.

This elbow chairs measures approximately 95 cm (37.5'') tall, 58 cm (22.75'') wide, and 56 cm (22.25'') deep. The seat height is approximately 48.5 cm (19'').

Painted, distressed and waxed finished. Recently reupholstered in traditional manner.
