Description

A 1937 Omega 'Scarab' cased wristwatch. A silvered dial, with a two tone finish. The central dial reflects at a different angle to the outer chapter ring, adding a nice depth effect to the dial. Arabic numerals indicate the hours, intersected by minute markers on the outer edge of the chapter ring. A subsidiary seconds dial to 6 o'clock. Blue steel hands indicate the hours and minutes.

A very rare case variant, with extended 'Scarab' style lugs - an uncommon design at the time. The circular case body extends out at the top and bottom, creating the effect of hooded lugs. A press down case back with an inscription in Danish. Case reference 615.

The watch is powered by an Omega caliber 26.5SOB T2. Serial numbers date this watch to c1937.
