Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The shaped bowls are gilded to both spoons, which especially elevates the wonderful berry decoration to the preserve spoons bowl. Both feature intricate and detailed engraving to the shanks and terminals, which unusually is of a different design to the front and reverse. There are vacant cartouches to the reverse and the hallmarks are well struck. A desirable pair, both useable and decorative in their own right. Dimensions below.
