PETER & ANNE BATEMAN: a good 18th century George III silver TEA CADDY of oval shape with crisp bright-cut engraved decoration and with an engraved crest within a shaped cartouche to the front. Excellent condition and good clear hallmarks to the base. London 1796; Makers: Peter & Anne Bateman**. 11ozs.

** Peter and Anne Bateman were the son and daughter-in-law of the most famous of British lady silversmith: Hester Bateman.
