Description

An extraordinary piece of maritime and ceremonial history, these decorative shears were specially made for the christening of the SS Victorian, launched on June 25th, 1900. Crafted from bronze and steel and housed in their original velvet-lined presentation case, this pair of shears bears a personalized engraved plaque: "SS Victorian Launched June 25th 1900 by Miss Doris Hill".

In good condition – Some expected surface wear and minor patina consistent with its 120+ year age. The shears remain structurally sound and beautifully preserved in their original box. Unfortunately, the clasp on the box is broken and therefore the box doesn’t close.
