Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Chippendale Revival longcase clocks were manufactured in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, drawing inspiration from Thomas Chippendales mid-18th-century designs. They typically feature mahogany casework, scroll pediments, floral marquetry, and ornate fretwork detailing.

These pieces feature solid mahogany and secondary softwoods, accented with contrasting wood veneers for marquetry inlay. The clockwork mechanisms, weight shells, pendulum rods, and dials are made from cast and chiseled brass, iron, and steel.

Identification relies on examining construction techniques such as hand-cut joinery, the quality of hand carving on the pediment and trunk door, cast brass dial spandrels, and weight-driven movements with mechanical trains.

A longcase clock functions as a vertical architectural focal point in hallways, stairwell landings, or entrance halls. It pairs naturally with traditional wood panelling, leather seating, and classic artwork.

The clock must be placed on a level surface away from direct heat sources and moisture. The mechanical movement requires regular winding with a dedicated key and professional horological servicing every five to seven years.
