Regency Bronze Tazza

Description

An Early 19th Century Bronze Tazza, Bowl.

The oval tazza with a gadrooned rim, over a concave collar, spreading into the gadrooned bowl cup. The tazza mounted to either end with pairs of swan heads rising from classical leaf brackets to form the handles. The tazza standing on a gadrooned socle, over a small concave stem, broadening to an acanthus and berry decorated rim. The tazza raised up on a Sienna marble rectangular plinth.

Date circa 1820.

Height 5 inches, 13cm.

Width 10 1/2 inches, 27cm.

Depth 3 1/2 inches, 9cm.
