Description

Fine pair oil painting on canvas of English rural scenes by Edwin Buttery (both signed). Born in London in 1839 most on Buttery's painting depict landscapes in the home counties. He died in 1908. Though he did not exhibit his works are highly collected. He came from a family of painters; both his father and son being artists. This pair are fine examples of his work in superb condition and contained in swept gilt frames. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 23" x 15" overall. 18" x 10" canvas size.
