This stylish wine bottle holder which is made of silver plate dates from c1900 and is in the form of a cannon.
This very nice quality wine bottle holder which has two large side wheels has a smaller rear wheel so you can wheel your bottle across a table to serve. The smaller wheel forms part of the handle which has a wonderful decorative pattern and your bottle can be secured in the pierced holder using the sprung clip.
This wine bottle holder does not have a maker''s mark but is exactly the same style and design as one made by WMF so we have attributed to them.
An inscription is engraved to the underside which would have been later added.
This bottle carriage holds a standard bottle of wine and is a fun and unique way to serve your wine.
