Barr, Flight & Barr denotes the period of the Worcester porcelain factory between 1804 and 1813, recognised for manufacturing high-grade porcelain featuring elaborate gilded pattern grounds and hand-painted natural subjects.

These dishes were formed from soft-paste porcelain into moulded shapes before receiving hand-painted enamel illustrations and gilded vermicelli or honeycomb patterns using genuine gold leaf.

Authentic items frequently feature impressed marks such as BFB beneath a crown, incised or script factory marks on the underside, precise gilding details, and characteristic porcelain translucency.

An antique decorative porcelain dish can be placed on a sideboard top, arranged within a glass display cabinet, or styled on a coffee table tray to contrast modern textures.

Clean gilded porcelain by hand using warm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, soaking, or abrasive sponges that risk lifting gold leaf.
