Description

This interesting COPELAND & GARRETT ‘NEW BLANCHE’ BLUE & WHITE SERVING PLATE dates from circa 1840.

It is decorated with a CHINOISERIE STYLE TRANSFER PRINT featuring an EXOTIC PHOENIX-LIKE BIRD and a large VASE.

It bears both a printed and impressed mark.

There are two old, surface nibbles to the edge (at about 2 o’clock) and an old, short hairline to the rim.

There is no restoration.

A lovely BLUE AND WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED SERVING PLATE in an attractive pattern.
