An Exceptional Art Deco Silver & Enamel Compact

An exceptional Art Deco Sterling silver compact. This superb example is of circular form with an engine turned base, engraved with the initials S O G. The lid is hinged and decorated with exquisite guilloche enamel in pale sky blue. A central oval panel features roses, leaves and two bluebirds.

The hinged lid opens via a press release button, to reveal a fitted mirror and the original puff and pad. Also included is the charming paper insert for L'Amé face powder. The makers Foster & Bailey, were founded in Providence, Rhode Island USA and became famous for top quality jewellery and associated items. A wonderful collector's piece and a great gift idea.
