Really large pair of 19th-century Country house size boot scrapers. Each scraper has a crack in the end, see photographs. (This is reflected in the price) I think this is probably a design fault as all four ends have them. As long as they are not dropped from a great height I can''t see them getting any worse. I dare say that this is why this design is rare.
