Description

Antique 9ct gold wrist watch, 1924.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. We believe the movement to be by the Swiss movement manufacturer A Schild.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the later winding crown and fixed wire lugs. The case is 9ct gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow 1924. The case has an old professional repair to the bezel, just about number 12, but otherwise it is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the hinged back but not too serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has a couple of hairline cracks but they are fairly faint. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
