Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Flight, Barr and Barr refers to the period between 1813 and 1840 when the Worcester porcelain factory operated under the partnership of Joseph Flight, Martin Barr, and George Barr. The era is celebrated for producing highly refined bone china featuring opulent gilding, intricate hand-painted reserves, and elaborate naturalistic decoration.

Regency porcelain pieces were manufactured using soft-paste porcelain or early bone china bodies. Decoration involved detailed enamel painting applied by specialist artists, accompanied by heavy mercury gilding or burnished gold leaf highlights applied to rims, handles, and borders.

Authentic Flight, Barr and Barr items frequently display impressed factory marks such as FBB surmounted by a crown, alongside painted script manufacturer addresses. High-quality gilding, finely rendered botanical or feather reserves, and precise gadrooned moulding also distinguish genuine period pieces.

A Regency porcelain basket serves as an elegant accent piece on a mahogany sideboard, console table, or mantelpiece. Placing it in a minimalist or contemporary setting creates a striking visual contrast, drawing attention to its detailed artwork and gilded finish.

Clean antique gilded porcelain by gentle dusting with a soft microfiber cloth or camel-hair brush. Avoid chemical cleaners, abrasive pads, and soaking in water, as moisture and friction can cause delicate gilding and enamel paint to wear over time.
