Silver Bookmark Seal Combination - John Muir Quote

1900 - 1920
Description

A most unusual silver bookmark with a seal to the base, London 1910 makers mark Peter Henderson Deere. I think it could also be used as a letter opener.

There is the most wonderful quote on one side by John Muir who was a renowned Scottish born American naturalist who was known as “The Father of the National Parks”.

There is a seal to one end and I think it may have had a ribbon or a chain attached.
