This is a superb-quality original 18th-century Dutch Delft Pottery Toby Jug modelled in the form of a seated Cheeky Monkey wearing a wide-brimmed hat and holding a yellow Banana Spout.
From the factory of Pieter Verburg, from the ''De Blompot'' factory in Delft (reg''d: 1756-1789).
The beautifully presented piece, hand-painted in shades of blue, yellow and manganese.
The underside is marked ''PB/2'' for Pieter Verburg.
