Antique Country Furniture Regency 19thc Fruitwood & Elm East Anglian Armchair. English C1800-20.

£975    $1,313    €1,124
A rare find is this early 19thc regency high back armchair from the East Anglian region of England...it has a slightly curved high back with elaborate turned spindles in the top half of the chair, and seven narrow splats.... the top two and bottom two splats contain four turned buttons...it has a concave seat, which is supported underneath with strengthened tape to stop the seat from splitting....the regency style arms are nicely curved terminating with finely turned uprights.... the tapered legs are joined by plain box stretchers. It has gained a wonderful colour, that you would expect from elm and fruitwood and is in very good condition.

English. C1800-20.
