For Sale by AC Silver
Description

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 28.50 carat amethyst and 0.08 carat diamond, platinum ring; part of our diverse collection of antique amethyst jewellery.

This stunning, fine and impressive antique amethyst ring has been crafted in platinum.

The pierced decorated setting displays a feature claw set 28.50ct cushion cut amethyst.

The trifurcating millegrain-decorated ring shoulders are each embellished with four eight-cut diamonds, blending with the plain ring shank at a subtle cuff design; this beautifully hand-crafted antique ring has a lovely and desirable design.

This 1930s ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the platinum mark (PLAT) and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.

An amethyst ring is rich in meaning. Symbolising royalty, protection and love, this February birthstone makes a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasion.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco gemstone rings from the 1930s feature large statement coloured gemstones mounted in platinum or white gold, defined by geometric cuts, clean lines, and subtle structural detailing.

These rings traditionally combine natural cut amethysts with durable precious metals such as platinum or 18ct white gold, often embellished with small diamond accents along the shoulders.

Authentic pieces display period-appropriate metal hallmarks, hand-engraved detailing along the shoulders or gallery, and precision hand-cut gemstone faceting typical of early 20th-century craftsmanship.

An antique dress ring serves as a singular focal point and is best paired with clean modern tailoring or minimalist evening wear to highlight the gemstone.

Clean gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding harsh chemical solutions or ultrasonic baths, and store separately in a fabric-lined box.
