Christopher Buck Antiques Ltd. has dated this Queen Anne Walnut Mirror to the 18th Century.
The frame has a gilded sight edge enclosed in a convex moulding, cross-grain-veneed in beautifully patinated walnut.

Mirrors of this period with glass plates over a certain size were always made in two parts, as early glass-making techniques which involved floating moulten glass on a flat bed, would only allow for smaller sheets.
