*Hans Temple (7 July 1857, Littau – 2 December 1931, Vienna was a Moravian-Austrian portrait and genre painter. Hans Temple studied at the Vienna Academy, his teachers were Hans Canon and Heinrich von Angeli, later he went to Paris, where he was trained by Mihály Munkácsy for two years. The main field of the painter were portraits of contemporary well-known artists in the vicinity of her studio. For example, he painted the sculptor Viktor Tilgner wh
...ile working on the Mozart monument (Vienna Castle Garden) and his teacher Munkácsy in his studio while working on his painting ''Christ before Pilatus''. Temple also received official commissions from the Viennese court and Royal family. In 1896 he received a small gold medal at the International Art Exhibition in Berlin. The main work of Hans Temple took place in Vienna, where he died on December 3, 1931.
