Very rare pair of late 19th century, probably italian, patinated cabinet bronzes of the brothers Lorenzo de'' Medici, Duke of Urbino and Giuliano de’ Medici, Duke of Nemours. Obviously inspired by the marble statues carved by Michelangelo in the The Sagrestia Nuova in San Lorenzo in Florence. These versions portray the brothers standing rather than seated. Italian, circa 1860.
