A Nuremberg brass chafing dish. Circa 1600.
Brass. Deep, hemispherical bowl with profiled rim and a stepped, wide rim, with a frieze with perforations in the center. Three small spheres on the rim, and two oval, engraved folding handles on the sides. A high, sloping, removable base, the ash container with cutouts for ventilation. See Otto A. A 17th Century brass circular pot, with swing handle moulded with beast heads, moulded sides,
23 cm diameter.
A brass tapered-cylindrical ecclesiastical water carrier, the swing handle over chased arbours framing seated apostles writing their epistles, inscribed in Latin.
Likely 17th Century, 24 cm high, maximum.
An 18th Century German brass water flagon circa 1720 of baluster form with a bell-form cover, the pair of handles with caryatid thumb-pieces, fitted a spout
(lacking the tap), upon three figural and ball feet. Old damage, later inscribed IV.70,
