Georgian Anglo-indian Padouk Stool Circa 1750

18th century
Description

Rare George II Anglo-Indian solid padouk wood bidet stool raised on bold cabriole legs with shell carved knees and claw and ball feet. Legs united with plain 'H' stretchers. Finely shaped seat frame. All in fine original condition except well repaired break to one side of seat frame. Wonderful deep honey colour with glowing waxed patina. Superb item. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.
