Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the mid-to-late nineteenth century, novelty stick pins depicting sporting motifs, particularly equestrian themes such as jockey caps and horseshoes, became popular attire accents for gentlemen to secure cravats and neckties.

High-quality Victorian stick pins were commonly crafted from 15ct or 18ct yellow gold and set with popular gemstones of the era, such as carbuncle garnets, seed pearls, and small diamonds, alongside intricate ropework or enamel detailing.

Authentic pieces generally feature hand-finished details, hand-cut gemstones like cabochon garnets, twisted or textured pin stems to prevent slipping, and era-appropriate gold purity marks or closed-back gemstone settings.

An antique stick pin can be worn on a modern suit lapel, fixed to a scarf or hat, or curated within a framed velvet display box alongside other nineteenth-century equestrian collectables.

Gently wipe the gold and gemstones with a soft, lint-free cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or submersion in water, and store the pin in a fabric-lined box to protect the delicate gold stem from bending.
