Description

Austrian cold painted bronze figure ‘The Jester’, Alfonso Titze, Vienna, c. 1920. Finely modelled as a young girl in an exuberant pose, whilst holding a stick with the head of a Jester atop. She wears an elaborate skirt, and head dress, attached with beads, whilst set upon the original marble base, supported by a beaded bronze square base.

Decorated in cold painted enamels.

Signed – TITZE.

Height – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.

Width – 23.5 cm, 9 1/4”.

Depth – 18 cm, 7 1/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
