Stunning Large English Sterling Silver Tea Caddy - 1916

Description

A quite wonderful elongated Octagon shaped tea caddy, simple and very elegant. The box sits of it's original eight ball feet and is fitted either side with ring handles and topped with a finial on the top of the slightly domed lid.

The hinged lid fits beautifully and once opens reveals an opulent gilded interior.

The underside is signed by the manufacturer, "Harrison & Son / Exclusive Silver Work / Warrington". The hallmark is for Birmingham 1916 and of course the makers initials H & S.

A superb caddy, in excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 4" tall. 255 Grams or 8.15 Troy Ounces.
